Prospect takes branches up to three inches thick, tied in bundles no longer than four feet and no heavier than 40 pounds, and asks for notice before an unusually large pile. Clearing a wooded back lot or a storm's worth of limbs is where a yard-waste-only container makes sense.

Before the truck comes up the drive
- Ask City Hall (502-228-1121), whose permits office handles city permits, whether your placement needs one.
- Check overhanging limbs along the driveway; the hoist needs height.
- Choose a spot on pavement rather than the lawn, especially after rain.
- If your street has an HOA, read its rules on containers first.
